One More Time

Ok, so I have to confess that in my excitement to start a blog I failed to remember how to actually post new messages. Two weeks later and a ton of pride swallowed my favourite number 2 daughter has come to my rescue!! Who knew it could be soooooo easy?? Not me obviously.

Now I have to get her or my favourite number one daughter to help me to post pictures. I am one of those people that once I start to do it then I learn it. Can be kinda scary if you are performing surgery but I haven't lost a card or scrapbook page yet so this should be FUN!

I want to say a big hello and welcome to my friend Sue for joining me on this journey. How cool that you are my first, what does one call you?, oh yea, follower! Hopefully you will enjoy my creative side as much as I am enjoying yours.

My Fall Hostess Clubs are starting in October!!!! I am excited to spend time with a great bunch of ladies each month. We will make cards, scrapbook pages and specialty gift items all with Stampin' Up products! If you are interested in joining us then leave a comment for me with your email address and we will get you set up. All it takes is a 8 month committment to spend $25/month and you will get to be the hostess for one of the months and have the opportunity to get a free Hostess set and FREE, did I say FREE product!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that!

If a monthly committment is too much for you then I would be more than happy to come to you for a fun-filled workshop. All it takes is a bunch of your friends who a) want to learn rubberstamping techniques, b) want to have fun and c) enjoy some goodies! I can also hold your workshop in my home in Kilworth if your place can't accomodate a crowd. Let me know, either way we will be guaranteed for a fun time.

We had a fun night last night with many of my relatives here to celebrate the engagement of my adorable nephew Mike and his beautiful fiancee Dannielle! They are getting married in Calgary on September 4, 2010! It seems so far away but I know that time will just fly.

As soon as Becca is up and in a non-comatose state I will get her to help me post a few cards. One that is old and a couple that are new.

Until then, keep looking up!

A New Beginning!

Have you ever wondered what it is that attracts so many people to reading blogs? I have no idea how many there are out there but I'm sure that if you tried to read them all you couldn't in a month of Sundays! So what is the facination?
Instead of trying to figure that out I thought that I would start one of my own and see where it leads me. Will I meet new people? Will I ever know how to change the colour of my text never mind add pictures? Only time will give us the answers to these and many other pressing questions. In the meantime one of my reasons for "blogging" is to share my creative side with others. I have been creating cards since we lived in the small town of Three Hills, Alberta back in 1997. At that time Stampin' Up was not in Canada and we were using markers and fabric to decorate our cards. We would adhere fusible webbing on the backs of fabric, cut out the picture that we wanted and iron it onto the cardstock. Add a few lines or squiggles with the markers and voila! A homemade care was created. Many years later I have been introduced to all of the wonderful products that Stampin' Up has to offer and I am excited beyond belief to inspire, create and share them with you. This past year and a half has seen me branch into scrapbooking too so stay tuned for some of that!
This has been a big night for me so I don't think that I will attempt to post pictures yet! (better to just try to post this post!)
Tomorrow we are heading to Burlington to visit my folks and my brother Doug and his wife Wendy. They live out west and we really only see them once a year so this is another big day for me! On Monday, I will check in with y'all and try to get some pictures up.
Until then remember to keep looking up because He never lets you down!
